cant get GOW 2 to save at save points!!!!!

Hi i recently made a backup of god of war 2 the game plays great but cant save at save points. Is there a patch for this that anyone knows of or was it in my burning procees i burned with imgburn and patched with esr to run on free mcboot anyone have any ideas thanks

oh btw it freezes at save point with logo on screen and disc spinning thanks again

My Original GOW2 had started having that problem about 3/4 of the way through the game.
It was the Greatest Hits version.

I had made my backup thank goodness , then patched with Toxic DL patcher, then patched with 'esr disc patcher'
I then burned it on Verbatim DL DVD+R, booktype set to DVD-ROM at 2.4x speed with imgburn.

I have no problems saving now.
