I just recently finished dot hack infection and got a data flag to bring to the next game dot hack mutation. But as i try to convert it the game claims that i don't have any saved data of .hack infection on my memory card, can someone help me out with this?

Im using swap magic 3.8 disc, burnt .dot mutation on dvd

edit - im thinking it could be because my .hack infection is the proper bought one and my .hack mutation is burnt. Could that difference affect the game detecting the save file?
