Hi, I always use Swap Magic to play my backups but I heard FMCB lately and that it can be installed to the memory card and can be used to play backups, something about ESR and that I need to patch the ISO image of the game before burning it. But the thing is I already burned hundreds of PS2 games without patching, and I don't wanna patch and reburn them to be able to run with FMCB, so is there anyway to run my backups with FMCB without the patch?
u can use fmcb to start the cogswap.elf(same as swap magic)
to play u`r old games
I tried Cogswap with fmcb but the screen just stuck at the cogswap screen, I already have my PS2 backup game in it and none of the button I press do anything except the square button, when I press it the screen just says "PS2 Disc"
You can still use your Swap Magic, or you can use the SM 3.8 ELF, or use Cogswap.
How to use Cogswap
-boot up Cogswap
-place a PS2 disc in the tray
-wait til it displays the disc type
-press O button for CD or X button for DVD -wait til it says "cogswap"
-then use a slide card (fat ps2) or sensor mod (Slim ps2) to swap out the game disc for your backup disc.
-press X to play the disc
To use SM 3.8 ELF
You need to have an Original PS2 disc in tray, then launch SM ELF

I thought cogswap doesn't need an original PS2 disc. So this isn't really what I wanted to do, but thanks for the help.
You see, I already use Swap Magic 3.6 and lately I heard about this FMCB that can be used to start swap magic so I thought no more disc swapping because it can launch the elf of swap magic and I tried it but it doesn't work and now you mentioned I have to use an original PS2 disc to get the SM 3.8 running to play backups is more troublesome so I guess I'll just stick with my SM 3.6
