Hi there so we all have games with a blemish here and there but how can we tell if the image taken from the disk is going to be good enough?

I have loads of original games that are a bit scratched up but they still load so what i really want to know is if i successfully take an image without errors can i assume it is going to be ok for burning?

Or would i have to test the image in some way to verify it good?

Lets say ive got an image from my favorite game that was taken with image burn but i went stepped on the original right after, Could i assume that i have my game safe and sound?

thanks in advance :)

I would say if you had no errors copying the game with imgburn or DVD Decrypter, that yes the ISO image will be fine.

As for the burn, that will depend upon your burner and disks.

Actually with console disk copies you can never be sure the iso is any good unless you burn one and test it.

We used decrypter or alcohol120% for ps2 disks.. I don't know if imgburn will get around some of the protection used on later disks.

Yes that is always best way to tell if the ISO is any good or not.
I meant to say that.

Always make sure to test it out on your console before you delete it from your pc.

Yes once you know the image works on the hdd transferring with Winhiip 1.7.6, you can then use that program to copy back to pc and be able to burn the ISO copy to another hdd if need be.
