I need help with cogswap/ulaunch

I am using the disc swap technique. I'm using 007 Nightfire. I switched DRIVING.elf with cogswap.elf and when I swap the discs it works like it is supposed to and cogswap runs. After I press X with the original nightfire in and it says use cogswap. I put the boot disc for ulaunch in, and it doesn't work. I also tried putting in the backup disc of the game I'm trying to play (Mercenaries:Playground of Destruction) and it begins to load but the screen flickers and is in black and white. What should I do?
