New DVD drive not burning backups properly?

I recently got a Samsung SH-S223B so I can burn Dual Layer discs, and PS2 games I burn with it wont boot when using swap magic. All my other backups work flawlesly, so is the problem in my new drive? I'm burning to a Verbatim DVD-R at 4X speed using ImgBurn.

Edit:
I put my old drive back in, and burned the same game with it, and it worked perfectly, so it's definetly my new DVD Drive thats the problem, any idea how I can fix this?

Try burning at 8x or 16x with it and see if it works.

Specially if your using 16x discs.
