Hello! I know there is some way where you can play the backed up games without the mod chip or swapping. I really want to learn how to do that and if you know plz help me. My console version is SCPH-50001 and it is FAT one). I know how to burn and backup the ps2 games. Please don't type that i have to get a mod chip but if you know how to play without it plz help. Thank You!!!
I found one method where u can use a program mcboot, right? but it is very hard for me to do cuz u have to find somebody with a moded ps2 to install it on your memory card. but there is another way i think by doing the installation through the usb.
I have a 4 gb flash drive and it seems that my ps2 doesnt accept it and i think i will only have to find a 250 MB flashdrive. K-mart, bestbuy, staples... don't have a 250 mb flash drive and if you know where i can get one i will be very thankfull. And please tell me if im right about the 4gb flashdive thing ok?

I'm not sure about the MCboot thing and the flash drive. Maybe it requires a game shark or something like that?
If my memory is correct on this, you can use SwapMaginc to load MCBoot on your Memory card. After that, you don't need swapmagic any more. So if you know someone that has swapmagic, you can borrow it for a day and use it for MCBoot.
I don't remember exactly what MCBoot did. I think you can use it to load the HDD Loader software from your memory card or something like that and install an HDD on your PS2 that you can rip ISOs to and play them without needing swap magic or a modchip.
I found lots of info on the internet and i found the gameshark 2 way to instal am exploit and i used my mp3 to boot istead of flashdrive)
ok so this is what i got if you know plz help:
-gameshark 2(i installed the ulaunchelf=4.06 version)
-now i just need to figure out how to use it...
now question! is there anyway to install the FMCB1.8 through the launchelf4.06 which is on my memorycard (and by the way it is a ps1 trick)

I haven't tried the memory card exploit in years, so I don't remember too well... I believe the method I used was:
Create MCBoot Disc
Use Swap Magic to boot Disc
Install Exploit to Memory Card
I never did anything with it, I just wanted to do it :P
If this method still stands, then you would have to create your own ISO.
I am not sure, but maybe with using the USB stick (mp3 player) you do not need an ISO. If you can get anything on your Memory Card, then maybe all you have to do is boot the USB device and install the exploit from that.
You can read up on it from psx-scene. There are even people there that will install the exploit for you. All you do is send them an empty memory card and enough postage to ship the memory card back to you and that's it. The service is free. I haven't tried it, but it looks legit.
Oh I see! thank you! i now installed it finally this night lol. but i didnt use swap magic. wat i did is launch the ulanunchelf then go to the menu mass: or watever and from there i understood that u can boot the usb and my mp3 didnt boot so i tryed my 4 gig flashdrive where i put the FMCB1.8 and it worked! so now its installed! FMCB on my memorycard!

I will make a tutorial on how to install it using gameshark cuz now i am a pro at this. lol it took me 1 week to search all that info on internet. well not all week but maybe 4-5 days)) thank all who helped)
