Question about DVD Quality...

ok so heres where i'm at so far

i took my ps2 apart and blocked the sensors so i can open the top

now i can load a ps1 games, wait for the ps logo then switch it out for a burnt ps1 game

i heard i can do this with custom guitar hero's too, just wait for my real guitar hero to load then switch it with a burnt one

now here's my questions

I have Second Class Media DVD's, is there any chance at all of my burnt guitar hero working on a second class disc? i was told they work 75-90% of the time, is this just for dvd's or games too? or should i go out and buy First Class?

Also has anyone ever used custom guitar hero's without swap magic? when would i switch the discs?
