Hi, I've backed up the game called "Motorstorm:Arctic Edge".
It is 1.95 gb big
I used ImgBurn and burned onto a Verbatim DVD-R at 4X Speed.
When I start the game on my ps2, the menu and the music hang every now and then.
The laser is loud and is going back and forth on the same spot over and over again.
When I choose a race, the loading time is really long and still the laser goes back and forth on the same spot.
When the race is finally loaded, there aren't anymore problems, but I think that this is only because evrything is loaded already and the laser doesn't have to load anything anymore.
actually I had burned mine on SonyDVD-R tested it out this morning and it loads and plays fine.
Laser is not overworking
Yes it can be hard on the laser to play it like that. It is working harder to read the disc is all.
So I would try cleaning your laser. Use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol
Clean in circular motion for about 30 secs, firmly but not too hard.
Then dry it with other end of q-tip for about 6-8 secs
Or if that doesn't do it, try burning at 8x and see if that helps.
Ok, so I fixed it. I just burned it at 1x instead of 4x. I didn't do that before because I thought everything under 4x doesn't make a difference to the readability.
