slide tool doesn't eject tray automatically

hello i have a quick question since I am a newb to all of this. i was able to successfully use the slide tool to play a backup game once, but when I try it again I push the white pin all the way to the right but the tray doesn't pop out automatically. i am worried i might have broken something, any help is very appreciated
