Hello,

This is my situation:
I want to run SMS media player on my playstation 2. I don't have a modchip or such thing. But i heared that Sony CDVDGEN would make it working.

What do i have?
- A PS2 slimline PAL SCPH-90004
- Sony CDVDGEN 1.2 (was the only version i could find) and IML to ISO rebuilder
- A DVD+RW

What have i done?
I followed this tutorial: http://www.blogsdna.com/501/how-to-play-...ation-2-ps2.htm

Unfortunatly it didn't work. My playstation 2 gives the error "Please insert a playstation or playstation 2 disk"

So, is there another way to run SMS media player? I AINT BUYING ANY SWAPDISKS OR MOD TOOLS!

Install the FCMB softmod to a spare 8mb memory card and start uLaunch ELF or the ELF launcher of your choice and run the SMS ELF and then watch the movies.

Forgot to say: i bought Memor32 (memory card with USB mini connector), and i tried to install MEMENTO and ESR, but both didn't worked because the SCPH-90004 (my console) has BIOS version 2.30. In this version, all firmware - related boots from memory cards or USB devices (except you have HDextreme) are blocked.

Other suggestions?
