Swap Magic not working, faulty discs or ps2?

Hi guys,

I binned my old fat modded ps2 a few months ago in rage when I couldn't get it to work anymore.

I have a slim PS2 now SCPH-70003 and decided to get swap magic as I had something similar for my old PSX back in the day and it never let me down.

Got my discs today but neither will boot, I've put in the slimtool fine and it spins and boots other games. I've tested all types of media, it plays PS2 and PS1 originals, plays dvds and audio cds too. So the thing is healthy just refuses to boot the swap magic discs.

The dvd disc just spins until the browser pops up and the cd disc gives me the red clouds.

So, am I extremley unlucky and have two defective discs or is there something wrong with my hardware?

I'm itching to play some undubbed rpgs :(

give usb hdloader a try.if you got a external hdd. i got this segate freeagent usb2.0 hd and it works great with my ps2 v7 3900.
