I've read a bit on this board. I got a fat PS2 in hopes of doing the browser method. I've managed to do it all to the point where I am now stuck at the PSX logo screen, and can go no further. At first, I burned then using MagicISO. Big mistake. Logo loaded, but without the PSX actual logo. Burned after doing a bit of research, and the logo appeared, so I got my hopes up. Now I'm just trying to figure this stuff out. 39001 I think it was, for the PS2.
The browser method wont work cuz ur Ps2 is too old i think u need a 9 and up bios or firmware or whatever. I have an oldie too and the same thing happened...but i got lucky and found an old psx gameshark....it loads backups like a champ
Yeah, I'm gonna get one off ebay. Found out I needed one last night on my own. I have an old one around here somewhere... but my room is filled with discs and I'm not feelin' like searching through them all. X_x
I also have a simmilar problem but I am using a V9 Ps2 (SCPH-50001) I have McBoot and I have been unable to get PSX Backups to play using anymethod. Also PSXloaders Text looks very blurry and almost unreadable.
I've tried FinalFantasy9, Vagrant Story, and Crash Team Racing(which I riped from my legit disk) and none of them have worked
I've used Legit Legend of Dragoon Disk 1 and Metal Gear solid Disk 1 to swap with
any idea what I may be doing wrong?
EDIT: I tried burning it at a faster speed and it worked!
