Seen a previous thread to this from 2009 but no definitive answer.

I purchased a second hand xbox from a market which now has rrod. So I decided to splash out on a brand new xbox slim.

5he problem is that when I used the hard drive transfer cable it came up that my profile was corrupted. I even put my profile on a USB card but had the same error message.

Ia there any fix at all for this? I just want my old profile with achievements and saved games on my new xbox slim.

Most of the fixes seem to mention the recover gamertag from xbox live but I have no account and never played online.
