Play Dvd error but after I Reset Console It'll Play the Game Why?

I've been playing backups on my console for a while and Here recently when I put a backup in it will sometimes say play dvd, but I can turn the console off and then back on a few times And it Will show the game on the dashboard and let me load and play it, and I don't know why because I wont take the game out I'll just basically reset my console,

So My Question is what is wrong with my 360? Am I just making bad backups and I need to re-burn them or is there something going wrong in my Disk Drive?,

(I'm using Img Burn & Xbox Backup Creator)
