Before you upgrade to larger hard drive, i'd recemmend Seagate ST3400832a 400GB. It works good, silent.

For eeprom.bin, search for how to build you an eeprom reader, you will find one that mentions radio shack. I don't know if we could post links here. This is how I got my eeprom.bin from my XBOX. I used ponyprog software with the eeprom reader i built. This is the only way I know which could easily do it. With Ponyprog, you have to save your eeprom.bin yourself.

It just takes patience when you are soldering. Try to look for PCBoard that has bigger spots where you solder, because radio shack's are sort of small. You could easily mess up.

Then when you are done, run Krazy's Ndure program makewiniso.bat but first place the eeprom.bin you saved from ponyprog software, into the eeprom folder and then makewiniso.bat with ndure. You will not get any errors at all.

This is going to be your research project for a while, if you really are into this XBOX technician stuff.

I'm just saying, this is an alternative way to get your eeprom.bin, a really handy way as well because you will find yourself working with it many times.
