xbox 1 modchip ?

guys just bought the xbox 1 from a guy he told me that it has 40gb hdd it runs
games fine through dvd . i dont know whether it is softmoded or modchip
but when xbox boots up on the left top corner there written is Evox and than
comes the Ms dashboard . i inserted the slayers 2.7 so that i can play games
through hdd .than i choose the new install option with upgraded hdd it starts
installing and all went fine after installation is done i restart the xbox but nothing
happen there was just that old Ms dash Board and nothing has been changed
no slayers menu nothing than i checked the memory section and found that some of the slayers tools has installed and showing in memory section now guys
could some one tell me step by step process what should i do ???
