Ok since I could not get any replies on this forum for my post "XboxHDM Help" since I was trying to hotswap it, I decided to purchase a solderless adapter for the Xecuter 2.6CE modchip i had laying around. I didn't have it installed already since its hard enough to solder the wires for the d0 pin, the hdd and lan light, etc.

Here's the problem. I have installed the solderless adapter correctly and put the modchip on. It powers on and the modchip light turns on and it works, but the d0 wire on the solderless adapter (Xapt3r for v1.0-1.5) does not stay on whatever i try to do.

When I try to put the d0 wire on the solderless adapter into the d0 hole on the top of the motherboard it pops out and wont stay in. I have either a 1.4 or 1.5 xbox, i forget. The xbox works fine.

those solderless adapters are quite tricky (or crappy, whatever you want to call it). you can always solder it onto the mainboard! i believe the lower d0 (on the bottom of the mainboard) is much easier to solder. if i remember correctly, i always soldered the lower d0 point.

i do believe that i have soldered it correctly, thanks. By the way, are the hdd/lan led connections optional or do they have to be soldered?
