Hi there,
I am trying to burn a copy of a CD (not necessarily a movie or audio one) with copyright protection however am a newbie when it comes to these programs. I have tried to use Dvd Shrink but when I click open and navigate to the drive that holds the CD, it says "Failed to open file E:\Video_TS.IFO, and the system cannot find the file specified." What should I do?

for a dvd using a program like dvdfab will open the dvd as an iso and give you menus to author and edit the dvd content before making a back up.ive only ever come accross 1 cd i couldnt back up and that was linken park meteora i dont know if it had copyright protection or if scratches were stopping it from copying.i use to use nero for cd backups now i use cdburner xp.i use dvdfab for dvds and never had a problem.i did use to use clone dvd and any dvd never had a problem with them either.

Thanks for the reply. I tried dvdfab, but didn't necessarily know which program in the package to use - as I had the ultimate version. When I attempted to copy it to another dvd/disc, I navigated to Drive E where the CD is located but when I clicked select folder, nothing happens; perhaps this was a result of the disc not being a DVD as you claimed.
I will try Nero and report back (using windows 7 so don't know if cdburner xp works).
Okay, I used Nero Burning Rom 10 program. Not sure if I did the process correctly but what I did first was copy the content of the CD over into the new ISO page and proceeded to burn that to a blank CD. However, when I insert the copied CD into my computer, it errors when I autoplay it with the following message: "Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application." Could you please take me through the correct procedure?

cdburner xp works fine on windows 7.i use windows 7.
for dvdfab if your just making a copy of a dvd click on dvd to dvd and then click on clone should be dead easy.
it would be helpful if you could tell us what dvd or what cd your copying.

It's a CD Rom, has 200mb worth of material on it. It's one of those discs which come with the subject (i.e Anatomy) textbook which gives additional material on the subject.
