I'm trying to back up this DVD to a hard drive so I can watch it from there, I've backed up a larger part of my collection on to my hard drives so I won't be touching or using the disk but nothing I do can allow me to access this DVD.
The back says TRIMARK Home Video, NBC Home Video and list CP Copy protection, but when it's put in my DVD drive it doesn't show at all. It even bogs down my copy programs and shows under DVD Shrink as "no title". The Disk is labelled Paramount Pictures and Lions Gate Home Entertainment.
Out of all my DVD's this is the only one I've never been able to back up and it's one I'd like to as the case disk holder isn't the greatest and this type eventually will cause the disk to crack.

DVDfab always works for me except when when my burner started going bad.I guess the lasers were getting weak.I bought some new ones for 30 bucks and now I'm back in business.

Nope DVDFab can't even find it, some how the disk while in the drive doesn't show itself as being in the drive. So far nothing works on this disk and apparently no one has a solution.

Imgburn at least detected the disk and says it's a CSS/CPPM copy protected.

Everything I was reading about CCS said to use DVD Decrypter but it couldn't rip it as well thou it did show up as the Loving you for decryptor.
Ripit4me is giving it a good fight, its running into some problems but will see what happens in the end.

No luck, it was able to rip a few files but to many large gaps to say it was successful.

I give up, this is a DVD that can't be mastered, I really never knew there was such a thing until now.
I'm running AnyDVD, I've tried DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Ripit4Me, DVD Gold 2012, DVD Rebuilder, Nero Render, plus other generic ones found on various websites. I've even tried it on a Mac Pro with mac ripping software. I've set up decrypter to use AnyDVD to rip the disk and nothing, nothing works.
The disk doesn't have a blemmish, it's picture perfect and plays in any DVD player fantastically but it can't be copied to a hard drive. And that's all I wanted was to copy it to a hard drive so I could use my WD TV to watch it from there so I wouldn't have to handler my disk and could store it and keep it looking perfect.
The funny thing is all these so called DVD software product say they can do this but they can't, they lied.
Well thanks for what help I got, it's no big loss I can still watch it from the disk, it's just nicer to have my collection on a HD and be able to access it from there.

I was able to back it with MediaConverter 8 from Arcsoft as a AVI file, when I back it up as a WB media player file it froze after 3 seconds.
It takes a while for my computer and AnyDVD to read the disc and also takes a while for MediaConverter to read it but it does eventually get the job done. Never seen such a stubborn DVD.
