Nokia: (Model)
IMEI:############### (No spaces, no slashes)
Network: (The Network the phone is locked to)
Country: (The Country the above Network is in)
Also any codes tried AND how many tries you have made.
Thanks for responding. We(the rep & I both tried several codes when I went in to get a new simm card. I got "phone restricted" after a while of "wrong restriction code"; this time without the "undo" option.. She the did a reset on the phone which wiped the memory, I guess. All of my stored info went away. Now I get "enter restriction code" again.
Here is the info you asked for...

SalMal..the codes I was trying were old passwords..I thought it was just asking for a password that I had used. I don't know what she was trying at the at&t store, but they weren't long codes. Thanks, Cliff
1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
2. Press the UNDO option
3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
4. Enter the code given and then press (OK)
------------------------------------------------------------
Only try the code once and once only!!!
Please remember you only get 3-5 attempts before your mobile becomes hardlocked.
If you have already tried different codes before mine your mobile could already be hard locked.
If it is hard locked you will get one the following messages Can Not Undo Restriction / Not Allowed
If you mobile is hard locked the only way to unlock it is by taking/sending it to a professional unlocker.
Please make sure the information you give is correct before typing in the code.
YOU ONLY GET 3 TO 5 CHANCES TO ENTER THE CORRECT CODE
WHAT "CAN NOT UNDO RESTRICTION" & "NOT ALLOWED" MEANS
When you have seen the message (Can Not Undo Restriction) or (Not Allowed), it means one of the following:
1.) You entered 5 or more wrong codes into your phone. Some models only allow 3 chances.
2.) The phone was bought off Ebay and the seller did the same as above. This may be why they sold it.
3.) You have browsed around looking at other peoples phones and assumed the code that worked for their model, would also work on yours. All IMEI numbers are different, which means every code for different phones will be different.
4.) You kept entering the same code over and over when seeing "code error" the first time. You should only enter a code ONCE!!
This means that your phone is hard locked to the original provider and it will only work with the original provider.
The only way to unlock your mobile is to take / send it to a professional unlocked or a shop that offers a direct unlocking service.
IF UNLOCK SUCCEEDS YOU SHOULD SEE RESTRICTION REMOVED ON SCREEN.
