I hope someone can help me with this issue. I have been in contact with o2 & Nokia regarding the following issue.

I have a Nokia 6300 Black mobile phone, o2 service provider. Removed original sim card and tried to put another in, but comes up security code. Tried the default one from o2 & Nokia (12345) but keeps coming up code error. I have tried my master reset code but still no joy. Apart from throwing in the bin does anyone know how I can resolve this issue. I am not looking for a reset code, just to understand what this means.
