K850 wont connect to pc!!!!!

my k850 has stopped working all it seems to do is charge, ive read up a bit and seems that if i replase it using Davinci it should sort it out.
so ive downloaded davince, bought enough credits for the flash but the phone wont connect to my laptop. ive tried holding down c when connecting and nowt, then read somit saying try same using 2 or 5 but nothing. it wont connect to the sony ericsson update service either.

anyone have any other ideas?
