T-Mobile and Verizon Blackberry Storm

I have an unlocked Verizon Blackberry Storm,using a T-Mobile sim card with my t mobile sevice,but I can't get the blackberry storm to rcieve picture messages,I know with t mobile you need the EDGE service on your phone for picture message,but on the blackberry storm it will only get the edge service small letter it needs to have caps EDGE to recieve and send picture messages,if anyone could help to get the blackbery storm to recieve picture mesages it would be greatly appreciated.thanks
