I am trying to recreate what something would look like in the 13th Century.

What I am trying to create is something that looks like this: http://tinypic.com/r/2ymzugy/3

-(This is what the castle you altered would have looked like in 13th century, it would have been in marshy area on a slight raised ground with a kind of wall structure round it and/or small possible moat)-


I have tried these mocks but it just does not look right. Any suggestions or demos that you could suggest. My brain has gone dead and me and photoshop/gimp is useless.
