Hey guys,

My friend is on 6.37 OFW, I am trying to downgrade his psp to a lower OFW. Does anyone know how to do this without using a pandora battery/magic mem stick?

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks,
Ezro

Ah, I see.
I don't know what model his psp is (as I don't have it on hand), but I know it's new.
Assuming it's the newest model, running 6.37 OFW, could I just use someone else's pandora battery to downgrade his FW and then just switch back to a regular battery?

look at the bottom where the serial number is. At the end it should say PSPXXXX if its bigger than 2000 then you can use pandora battery with it

Actually, no. If it is a 30XX you cannot use a pandora battery with it (XX stands for any number between 00 and 10, depending on your region). And if it is a 20XX (XX again for any number between 00 and 10) it's mostly trial and error. If you can get your hands on a pandora battery just check if it works, if it doesn't your PSP is too new, there are some 2k models that cannot be hacked with a pandora battery. If it doesn't work it won't do anything to your PSP, you cannot damage it by trying to use a pandora battery.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Additionally, if your friend's psp is too new, you'll probably have to settle for HEN CFW (a soft mod) - which is all fine and well, but you'll have to keep the device in standby or sleep mode to keep the system from rebooting/reverting to OFW.

X360 - Jasper revision: modded
PS3 fat model w/250gb upgrade
Wii: soft modded w/320gb backup
PSP 2004: 5.50 gen-C prom
PSPgo : 6.37ofw w/27 converted isos
3DS w/SSF4, waiting on the edge of my seat for ocarina 3D and Res. Evil: Mercenaries 3D
