I have a psp 2000. Seems the battery is the best and easiest method. Anyone recommend a site to purchase from?

No, that method isn't the easiest anymore. IF your PSP 2k is fully hackable you can simply update it to 6.60 official, then use 6.60 PRO-B or ME LCFW as a homebrew enabler and then install 6.60 ME full. If it isn't fully hackable just stick with 6.20 PRO and the permapatch.
