How to use the internet without a joystick!

PSP Users~
I have a used PSP, the joy stick had been broken off bc my bf is an idiot with heavy fingers! He is quite ignorant when it comes to electronics where as I on the other hand am usually really smart and can pick things up VERY quickly (what I'm getting at is he can't help me with his psp)! Anyways the problem is not getting into the PSP internet, it's using the thing without a joystick! A few months back I was able to use the up/down/left/right arrow keys and the shaped buttons on it to browse, however something changed. Now when I try to use the arrow keys, it will only let me move the screen up and down but not the courser! It's like a certain setting on the PSP has been changed but I don't know what setting, can't figure it out, and can't find any information as to how to fix it!! Please someone out there has to know how to fix it!!! Email me with any help even if it's just an idea you have on what could be the problem

Never mind now, I worked on it and found out how to fix it! For future psp people with the same problem, here is step by step on how I did it:

Step 1:
after turning it on, go to settings and scroll down to 'network settings'

Step 2:
Once in 'network settings' go to 'Ad Hoc Mode'

Step 3:
change it to 'ch1' and save!
Note: I do not know if the other channels work or what they do but when I tried that it now lets me use the arrows for the internet instead of the joystick which I no longer have! Hope this helps future PSP ppl!!

alternatively, you could buy one on ebay for $5 or something, i think if you have enough knowhow to make a pandora, or anything like that, you could biuld in a joystick : ) i didnt help ATTALL!, did i.. :(
