Problem with CWcheat

Today, i installed CWcheat on my psp, however i could not get any of the cheats to activate for God Eater Burst (USA). When i hold select, the menu does appear, but i dont see any of the cheats i put into it.

Just for an experiment i downloaded Star Wars The Force Unleashed (US), which cheats are already in the cheat.db file i got from cwcheats homepage (very outdated, i know) However, the same problem appears, the menu appears but not the cheats.

I have PSP 1000 ver 5.50 Prome-4
