Let me start by saying there are MANY guides to playing Psx games on the psp, I thought it would be a easier task then Is.
I really need help, I have tried countless guides, and none have worked I don?t know what im going wrong, im fairly new to this and maybe just need a more simple guide, im not sure.
Anyway this is what I am trying to do. I downloaded Digimon world 1-3 for the Psx they WORK on the psp going to the memory card they are there, bring up a image music etc. HOWEVER they will NOT play and say ?The Copyright protection information is invalid. (8010850E)?
I?ve read where you are able to get past this, and so far I have had NO luck at all fallowing many guides closely and ive gotten nothing so far, all things ive downloaded for it, all say corrupted or just wont. I don?t know what I am doing wrong. So can someone PLEASE help me ( I will beg?.x.x) step by step downloads and everything, its asking a LOT I know but would be forever grateful.
My psp is also a 2001 . System Software is 6.20 other then that memory card or empty I am waiting for help and so far haven?t found anyone able to. If anyone feels they can help me PLEAES comment, or better Email me at TNE1990@yahoo.com
If there is anyway you can help me thank you very very much!

Seriously, have you read one of these tutorials? And I mean, really read them, not only the toppic? If you did, you would have realized thet you need custom firmware to play PSx games that were not downloaded from the PSN store and wouldn't try to run a PIRATED game on an OFFICIAL Sony firmware.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

First of all, you need to know if your PSP is downgradeable, if not you can forget everything. What color is your PSP?

if your psp is one of the new models of psp 2000, it will have a different motheboard. if it is, that means you wont be able to get cfw on it, because your firmware is too high (the highest firmware allowed to get cfw is 5.03)
but if its an older model (with the old motherboard) i think your only option would be the pandora battery and the magic memory stick (you would need both)
to check if you have the right motherboard you have to open it, voiding the warrenty, so its your chose to "check" if its possible. if you dont know the type of motherboard you need, just google something like "psp 2000 motherboard" or something.
hope this helps bud :)

Actually I love noobs giving other noobs advices. Especially when these advices are total bulls**t.
Just put out the battery and check if it has a DATE CODE:

If the DATE CODE is 8B or below, you need a Pandora battery and a magic memory stick, buy the Pandora Battery off www.dealextreme.com and google for a magic memory stick maker.
If the PSP hasn't got a DATE CODE (some US PSPs don't), take HBL from here:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/2010/08/08/half...u-0-3-released/
and then use PSPIdent:
http://downloads.exophase.com/515/pspident-04/
If it says Motherboard model TA-088v3 you can't downgrade it, TA-088v2 or below or TA-090v1 you need a Pandora Battery.

ok sorry about my last post, i usually do research on everything but i was in a rush (also i havent been into psp hacking for awhile) anyways...
step 1: take out your battery
step 2: find your psp's SERIAL No. (not all psps have a DATE CODE if not mentioned by Eisherz previouly)
if you cant find the SERIAL No. look here (not my psp):
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2217/2172651092_c223a212ea.jpg
step 3: check if the SERIAL No. starts with HU2, if it DOES it CANNOT be hacked. if it starts differently then you're good (mine starts with HU7 and is running CFW)
reply with you results, hopefully yours will be able to be hacked
ps: that PSPident that Eisherz told you to use isnt going to help, you need to be running cfw to use it (which is not smart, because thats your trying to get) and you psp's firmware is too high for ChickHen anyways, so yea just forget about PSPident
pps: digimon world 1-3? cool. i got them too on my psp (made the eboots myself, customized with pictures instead of the sony playstation logo) i'm currently playing digimon world 3. also if you havent heard yet, there is a digimon mmorpg out called Digimon Battle, but you must have heard about it already, but just in case i thought i'd tell you.

I was not talking about using it with chickhen here, if you had followed the first link I gave you would have gotten to Half Byte Loader, which is a homebrew enabler for firmware 6.20. You can't use it to play iso games and there is no working PS1 emulator for it but you should be able to use PSPIdent with it.
