There is still no verified rip of Brink? Wow, that is odd.
Are you planning on playing this online? I had the same error but I was only playing it on my Jtag. I just burned it anyways. Works fine, just not safe for any console you will take online.
Also, I did not like Brink at all. Espeically after all the hype. Sub-par game in my opinion. Hopefully I can save you a few hours of your life. :)

Brink is one of those few games where people are absolutely going to love it or absolutely hate it. It's not your typical shooter. The appeal is for those who are looking for team based structure. If you're a lone gunner then Brink will leave a bad taste in your mouth.
Even the single player mode is based completely on team play. It tries to give you that multiplayer experience without actually playing with other humans. And that, i.m.o., is just terrible. The a.i. just doesn't function good enough to make for a fun experience.

I love the team-style gameplay, but the single player mode was terrible. Poor story explainations and horrible AI. You can stand in front of one of them on medium for 10 minutes and not die.

I'd think possibly he's referencing more towards the game play being disappointing.
