Ok, So I Accidentally Unplugged The Drive Wile It Was Updating Firmware. I Have Tried To fix It In DOS But I Get A Error Saying "Bad Chipset" Could Somebody Tell Me How To Fix This If It's Possible? If So, Please Tell Me How


Info About The Drive:

Cant Update It To AL2A Get A Message Saying "Error Writing Flash To Drive, Please Contact your Vendor"
Does It Recognize Disk - Yes
Does It Get Recognized By The Computer - Yes

Hi a little sketchy on detail.What model version/firmware version is the drive.Did you backup the firmware onto your pc/laptop before you tried to flash.Are you using the burnermax flash program?If so is the drive still being recognised within the burnermax flash utilty.If so you may find a orginal.bin file for your drive online if you dont have it and reflash back to stock.

u probably locked or fried the chip out

Yeah, you may have bricked it. I'm pretty sure when c4eva first release the burnermax firmware, he mentioned to be very careful during the actual flashing process, because you could brick the burner. I haven't looked into it though, so someone may have found a repair method by now.

try to see if you can find the original firmware to see if you can unbrick it,but the chances are slim

Ok good news, i fixed the drive and it now is working properly but i now have a green light flashing evry 2 seconds

its normal to flash while its burning ,
