I am a super noob about the latest things related to Xbox 360 console & firmwares. So kindly bear me if this has already been answered.
OK, I have 2 Xbox 360 consoles. The first one has the Lite On drive (yellow wires) & I am not sure about the second one. I flashed both consoles about 2.5 years back through a retailer. I NEVER play games online?. just interested in offline.
I updated my 1st Xbox via online today (Firmware 2.0.15574.0 I guess) & I was shocked when the old backup games were never recognised by the console. I tried using bootable disk trick, but it simply failed.
As for the 2nd one, I just loaded WWE 12 Game DVD (Original) & it updated my console in order to play the game. However, I faced the same issue again. Backup games never worked & all I was getting is a ?Play DVD? message !
What should I do now ? Should I have to reflash both ?
not sure.. last time I was called to a pair of drives messed up by updates I had to take a quick 30 minute course in flashing 360 drives.. but I'm a fekkihn genius so it's not that much of a problem learning something new.. YMMV ..
probably yes.. I think you will have to learn how to flash your own drives.
The updates flashed the drives back to stock, so they are on official firmware again. Either get them flashed again by some repair shop or do it yourself, even if the guy who already flashed the drives for you gave you the keys, I would propose not to use them, atleast not on the liteon, but dump them again, there have been people messing up their drives by flashing with the old keys they already had. By the way, don't ask for a tutorial on how to flash drives, that has been answered multiple times by now.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
