I bought three laser eyes for my benq installed each and every and none of them work. When i put in a disc it just says reading after about 15 to 30seconds says open tray, I cant go back to my old one because its doing same thing now before i installed the eye i desolder the static ball on it can someone help me please.
Now im doing the pot tweak trick but when i touch the multimeter to its jumping all over the place it goes to one xx.xx n starts going down but i cant get a correct read am i doing something wrong
if its running for 30 seconds before open tray, there could be a lot of problems, start by cleaning your laser really good with alcohol and a cue tip, if that does not do the trick check other things out, i would start by looking at the white plastic clip that goes on the wormgear, make sure you didnt lose the spring out when you changed it to the other laser!

I had one like that, make sure the disc is spinning straight and not at an angle. I had one with a bent motor and the disc was spinning side to side wobbling and after trying 2 lasers I figured it out.
