Brand new Sammy drive, can't read XGD3

I googled this and it seems like alot of folks are just guessing as to what would cause a Samsung MS28 drive with LT 2.0 to give a "disc unreadable" error with XGD3 games, namely Halo Reach and MW3, does anyone know how or even if this is correctable? I burned the game to a Memorex DL disc using a burner max flashed Liteon drive. This is the only time I've had these problems.

Are you sure you're getting good burns? Try running your burned games through kprobe and checking the results. And although Memorex discs usually work. Most people will tell you to use Varbatim. I'd start there.

I read somewhere that if the box didnt come stock with a Samy then I cant use a samy due to the motherboard still trying to preform ap checks. Can anyone confirm?

Nevermind, I figured it out, I smashed the fucking samy with a hammer, installed a liteon, and all is well.
