Burning with liteon 124B w/max firmware

So I got my liteon 124b drive in today.. got it up dated and now I'm trying to burn my backups.. But I keep getting a error when verifying at 49 percent. Im currently using my left over memorex DVD-DL (RITEK-S04-66) could it be the disc?? I have some verbatiums coming..

what do you guys think??

so I followed the Cheap media thread.. and not working :-( guess i gotta wait till my verbs come in.. will up date when they get here... still get a error at 49%
