Which burner is best:

LiteOn (IHAS124-04) Internal 24x DVD Writer, OEM
- Black, SATA

LiteOn (IHAS324-07) Internal 8x DVD Writer, Retail Box
- Black, SATA, 2MB Buffer

The 124 liteon is just as good for burning backups,just less bells and whistles.If your planning on flashing to Burnermax firmware then make sure you have version B and no other.If you want to use the payload tool to increase the capacity of the disc then here is a link to compatible drives.

Thx a lot for info.

Do you have a link where I can download the burnermax firmware and the payload tool?

Every site I've tried downloading from (googled it)gave me either an error (bad file/file corrupted) or didn't pass my antivirus scan and got quarantined.

or worst once download was complete I got redirected to sites where I had to participate in surveys to get a password.
