Hi all, Hopefully im not going to come across as too stupid but here goes....
Ive recently re-flashed my xbox up to the newest firmware from LT as i wanted to start backing up newer games that need the firmware update. this all went ok. My current backups are working fine! I am however having issues with trying to burn anything new...
its been a while since a burnt anything (about 2 years i think) so im basically starting from scratch. So far I have tried to burn the following (fails in xbox, either 03-80-00 error or Disc unreadable)
im using abgx (newest version) to check first (all ok)
im burning with ImgBurn (newest version) at 2.4x (ive tried manually setting layer size and using the dvd file both fail)
I'm using the same dvds as last time (i bought quite a few so still have alot of blanks to use up)
Im using the same PC as before (im yet to get round to upgrading)
Gears 2 and Fallout 3 were made from preexisting files and i already have working backups, i just wanted to test with known good files... fallout = fine, gears = unreadable
I just dont know what im doing wrong :( any hints?
Ive had a look through those forums, but unless im mistaken, doesnt that only apply to newer games? things like COD MW3, Gears 3 etc?
shouldnt older games like Gears 2 be fine still? my original backup of Gears (using the same files) works fine still, its only the copy i tried to burn recently that doesnt work :-/
I was going to say maybe they require patching however the first ones work so i spose that's irrelevant, only thing i can think of is perhaps imgburn is set to high a read speed at creating iso,nah hang on i think i used to get an error can't read disc when speed to high on not so good condition discs when using the kreon, tho you don't need to rerip, perhaps the discs themselves are the cause, might have to wait till a more experienced member arrives, would abgx mention anything on the disc that is not being read
