I have the MW3 edition counsel with 320gb HD will xk3y work on this?

Can I use xk3y to play disk backups?

What must I purchase besides xk3y itself?

The xkey will work as long as you can get your dvd key info from the drive via any of the available methods. Google is your friend. I personally invested in a x360 usb pro to get my slims' info and it worked flawlessly. There is also the lizard for drive key extraction as well. The usb pro is cheaper than the the lizard but essentially does the same job. I believe the lizard is supposed to give you a more complete read of the key/ofw for slims than the usb pro but everything works just fine on my xkey with the key I got from my drive using the usb pro. There are also some different unlock tools that are needed for certain drive revisions if you intend to flash the drive for any reason. Again, Google is your friend. I hope this helped.

Ya that helped dude, Do I need to buy anything other than the xk3y itself?

Cant I use jungle flasher to do the dumping instead of x360 usb pro or lizard

Can I play back up discs with the xkey?

In bypass mode,my xbox will be running original firmware?

Any HDD will work for your game iso's. The xk3y essentually allows you to run iso's of your games from a hdd. There is no need for discs while in emulation mode. Yes, in bypass mode the 360 will run like normal because the actual dvd drive is not modded. You can then play normal games on the 360. Not backups.

You can use jungleflasher for getting your dvd key but if the 360 is a slim MW3 edition then there are some sata chipsets that are incompatible with the reading methods for the slim drives. I have an nVidia sata chipset and I couldn't read my slim drive because of the incompatibility with my drive so i had to shell out some extra cash to finish the task.
