First and foremost, a warning ? at this current time it is advised that you stay offline and avoid playing any AP2.5/XGD3 backups. It has been confirmed by the team that the dae.bin is now being silently updated on all LIVE-connected boxes.

This update is not being deployed via a SystemUpdate or TitleUpdate, but rather occurs in the background without any visual indication or prompt to the user. As such, there is no means by which it can be cancelled or avoided, other than not connecting to LIVE. If you?ve connected to LIVE in the past 24 hours, your system has likely already been updated with a changed dae.bin.

All AP2.5/XGD3 backups that contain the now older AP25 replay data will fail the system?s AP2.5 challenges and indeed flag your system (the flagging has also been confirmed by the team).

Like our news a few days ago, the dae.bin is now being changed by way of an appended challenge table in the same manner on current retail dashes (13604) as it is on the preview dash (14686), however the content of the challenge tables differ. The team has determined that the appended challenge table appears to be unique per console and contains indentifying information. This means that everyone?s dae.bin is different, and can potentially be traced back to your specific console. Therefore, sharing your dae.bin with others it not advisable.

More info to come.

Everyone on ixtreme forums are reporting sammy's having no issues. People that were offline for last few days are still able to boot ap2.5 and xgd3 with clean xvals until they log into live then they get issues.

also people have been complaining about original disc not reading

According to team xecuter:

New Title Update from MW3

all backups are boom

back to your originals boys

This is interesting. I played MW3 last night with no problems, can still play Skyrim fine. I won't be playing MW3 again and I have disconnected from Live for now. Xval says sec data is clean and the Z value from doing the network test says I'm not not banned.

My brother played MW3 for about an hour five or so days ago and when he tried booting up Halo Anniversary, boom, not supported. He can still play Battlefield 3, Sonic Generations and NFS The Run fine. His Xval came up as AP25 challenge failed but his Z value from the network tests says clean.

i am thinking that only boxes that have multiple failed challenges will get banned, they could not ban a box for having one failed challenge, but if you are failing ap2.5 on every game you play, then your going to have a problem.

Update frome c4eva : ?In short every game now has a unique dae.bin file and will always constantly change, which means the end of cfw and the xk3y. as soon as you log onto xbox live a silent update will flag your xbox for a ban, if you have logged on live or after nov 17th you are flagged for a ban, no way around it. only use the xk3y for playing offline. its now 100% xbox live UNSAFE.?

Not looking good.

Silly question. if i buy an original mw3, will this work or does it apply to just back ups?

If you buy an original you can play it online and be ok. If however you have played a backup from 17th Nov onwards whilst being connected to LIVE you will probably be flagged for a ban.

So right now, if you havent already played a backup whilst being online since the 16 Nov and been flagged you can either;

1. play originals from now on and not play any copies (apart from the old smaller 7.9 gb sized games which have the correct Security sectors).

2. Disconnect from live completely and play your backups offline only.

no.2 is prob the best option until the scene come back with something...

I asked this ??? in another thread with no ones opinion, so I thought to ask in this one. So does this only pertain to anyone who has booted a back-up of an AP 2.5 or XGD3 title? I am still running 1.9 and havnt booted up any AP 2.5 or XGD3 titles, possibly I am still safe?

I'm also seeing people on #C4E reporting that Xk3y team has defeated the new DAE.bin.

Edit:

I wanted to add this. Don't take this as fact yet. just relaying back what Ive seen people talking about.

Had lifted it from Team Xecuter forums. As you stated theres nothing on C4evaspeaks so maybe not from C4eva after all but when i posted it this morning it was being stated on aformentioned forums as official and i posted it in good faith.

That?s a fake quote. The statements in it are false and did not come from c4eva. Ignore it.

from c4evaspeaks. hope that clears it up

Good question, I'm also curious. It seems like you can keep the 360 on Live if you don't play any AP2.5 or XGD3 games as they are the ones that will flag you. But...

...you'll still get the silent update which would mean you can't play AP2.5 or XGD3 online OR offline.

Sounds like you can choose to either connect to Live and lose the ability to play AP2.5 and XGD3 (and not go near em because they won't boot and will flag you) or stay offline and play em all until a fix comes out.

I'll just use a stock and original games on Live till it's sorted. Getting the silent update may even make it difficult to re-mod when a fix comes out, who knows - not enough info right now, best to stay clear of Live with CFW for now.
