I put in the new Golden Eye and it said that "Drive does not support XGD3 discs" if you proceed you may have corrupt date. Then it said the same for AP25. This has been the method I have used forever and am clueless to the other methods.

It can still be done, but you need an Xbox 360 drive (BenQ or Lite-On) flashed with 0800 v3 firmware to rip XGD3 discs.

pretty sure you can't, your backups will not play.
need ixtreme burnermax with one of the ihasxxxx model B drives and verbs of type mk01/03.
reason being, xdg3 game disk are now much larger (8.14gb) than xgd2 gamedisks, kreon drives cannot write to the end of the disk, and will truncate the last bit.

I too was a kreon user, last burn i did on it was over a year ago now.

Essentially, get above drive for your burning, flash with burnermax fw
Get a liteon as your ripping drive, flash with 0800v3 (no need to obtain key)
Rip with xbc 2.9.350
Run the iso through xbgx1.06 or inject individual topology data with xbc above
Burn with imgburn 2.5.6.

Plenty of tuts for above, i'm sure you're nut it out....
good luck....

Kreons do still work. If you rip them with a Kreon drive, just make sure you path it properly through abgx. Abgx will patch SSV2 and all the proper data.

ABGX has always patched XGD2 SSv2 games. Are you saying that it can correctly patch Kreon ripped XGD3 games?
