Neither will work, you need a xbox drive with the latest 0800 firmware.

You don't need either to rip backups. Just use imgburn if it's a backup to create an iso of the backup. IF it's a retail rip you need 0800v3

so i can use any dvd reader in my pc to rip a xgd3 backup to my hdd, aslong as it no original!

To rip a previously burned disc including XGD3:
Any reader or burner.
To rip a retail XGD3 disc:
Xbox drive flashed with 0800 v3 firmware.
Burn an XGD3, XGD2 or XGD1 ISO:
Any burner.
Burn an XGD3 ISO properly:
Lite-On iHAS series burner (or clone) flashed with BurnerMAX firmware.

Using a normal burner you have to truncate (burn to end of disc) which leaves you burning 97% of an iso and the game will work, but this could give bad CIV checks etc. Forza 4 doesn't work on a normal burner because of a security check so think of games that do boot or future games. You have more chance of being flagged and some games won't work properly.

Yes. Any backup you can create an image from with imgburn with any dvd drive

Idk what that has to do with a kreon drive but as eebeejay says people have helped him already.
