havent been around here since 1.61...is this right:

1. LT 1.1+ is the upgrade to get for unbanned box w/Benq drive (on box originally with Lite-on).

2. After LT 1.1+ the dash needs to be updated online. It is impossible to update the dash offline.

3. ap 2.5 game backups require a special patch, something that is provided automatically through the abgx interface.

4. old backups made before LT will not work with LT 1.1+ and the new dash. They all need to be repatched and reburnt.

1) LT 1.1+ is the latest, and the one you want. I think spoofed drives can be detected.
2) The AP2.5 dash update is received when online.
3) Yes. The latest ABGX 1.05 provides the AP2.5 patches for known AP2.5 titles for you.
4) You need to remake backups of affected AP2.5 titles, can't remember the complete list right now but includes NFS and ACB, other backups continue to work as before.

from what I've read on here and on jungle flash and from qoutes from c4eva you cant spoof drives while on LT and LT+ 1.1. you will not be safe from banning

If the original Liteon is fried and replaced with a Benq, can it be replaced by a new Lite-on and NOT be considered spoofed, i.e. safe from banning? Or does the entire box need to be replaced?

if you had a 7 series liteon you will need a 7 series liteon
if you had a 9 series liteon you will need a 9 series liteon

what ever drive came with it you need that same exact drive
