OK, so not all games work when truncated. Is there a list somewhere of which games can be truncated successfully and which can't?

My nephew (800 miles away) truncates but is not having success with Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. He says 4 discs failed at 46%. Can HCEA be truncated?

A burn failing at 46% (which is what I assume you mean) would not be because the ISO is truncated. It's either happening for another reason, such as a bad batch of discs or the burner being on its way out, or it's a coincidence.
