Hey guys, I just recently flashed my Hitachi with LT2.0 and have a couple questions. My Xbox is banned so all Im trying to do is burn and play, dont care to much about anything else. I've read the issues with the XGD3 backups but do I need the Burner_Max firmware to play the games or will truncating the games with Imgburn still wield the games playable? It seems its pretty hit and miss.

Secondly I have a jtag system downstairs and have extracted the previous ISO's I have to use it with an external drive, can I still burn these games to be used with modded firmware? I suppose the question is can I remake the ISO (or burn the extracted folders as is) onto a disc to play with my old Hitachi Xenon?

I have played and beaten Gears 3 and Skyrim, both truncated. Playing through Halo Anniversary truncated now. No issues ata all.

You cannot burn the extracted folders. The ISO must be burned. Not sure if an Xbox 360 ISO can be rebuilt from the extracted folders. I asked that question when the JTAGs first hit the scene and never got an answer. If you do rebuild it, I'm sure some padding or something is gonna have to be added because the size of the extracted folders is always smaller than the ISO bacause the padding is removed.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I wasnt sure about rebuilding the extracted contents, read somewhere about it breaking something related to M$ but not 100% sure.

I doubt it would break something. But the ISO has to be perfect in order to for it to load, and your extracted folders are missing some info.
