Ok, here are the specs from my drive.
xbox drive
dg-16d2s
ms part x800474-008
plds part 3b41216031
hw a0a1
fw 74850c
d608cg848801004cf
I have usb pro, ck3 pro, and probe3 but I cannot get this to work!
Using JF 1.89b
I hook up everyting, ck3 is blue and usbpro is green on power and red on portio, tiny switch on top is set to off..... am I right so far?
I open jf up and go to dvdkey32 tab
Port props show usbpro and com port props show ck3 pro....
but down below it just says no drive detected!
If I go over to mtk flash tab and do lite-on erase and push the buton on my drive power cord I can get it to say drive in vendor mode but after that I cant figure anything out.
I have watched tons of videos and read tutorials but their drives seem to be so much easier than this one. Please help!

no turn off the blue light on the ck3 .that puts the drive in mode b..you dont want in mode b.and if its n vendor mode and your fw is loaded just write your fw.

So i want the redlight on the ck3 pro? Cause those are my only 2 options other than unplugging it, red or blue

you want it red.blue is for hitachi drives.

Ok, i did that and got a little further. I was able to probe and save all the files to desktop. Then I went thru the other steps, told me key was verified (7777777777etc) and i wrote and outro'd but now my drive wont even play regular games :(
what is the firmware I need to be putting on this drive? there is a whole list of dif files in my (everything to flash) folder
And should my key be showing somethin dif than all those 7's?

let me ask u this ..do u have the newist update and dash?cause if not u need to go to xbox.com and dl it onto a usb stick then do the update on ur box then flash.

Im pretty sure I do. thats actually what got me into this mess in the first place.
I put in a game that asked for the update, I selected yes and it only made it thru half way. So I had to dl on a flash drive and install. Then boom - cant play backups anymore.
So then I ordered all the items to fix it and its proving to be alot harder than predicted. :(
how can I find out if i have the latest update and or dash?

ok thats ur problem.put ur orig.bin back on ur drive firsr with the orig.bin fw u dl with the lt2.0.then do ur update and after that u can flash ur drive.that should do it.make sure u update with usb stick WITH ORIGINAL FW ON DRIVE OR IT WILL NOT WORK.hope that works for u

This may sound dumb, but where do I find my original bin? given the specs of my drive at the beginning of this post can I dl it from somewhere?

your take your dummy.bin and mix with the orig.bin you dl that comes with the lt2.0 dl.

How do you mix? like select dummy.bin as source and orig.bin as target? Im sorry im such a noob :(

yes your dummy.bin is always first .then the fw you want to spoof it as is 2nd.then hit the spoof to target button.then liteon erase. then write.your done

Great! but what about the issue with jf saying my key has been verified as 7777777777777777777 or whatever. Does that sound right?

well u already erased your drive so you better hope its right.if not if u have your key.bin and inquiry and serial you can make your dummy.bin or buy a x360dock and play games from it if u have ur key.bin and inquiry.bin

the whole key 777777777 you did not spoof source to target when you flashed that's why couldn't read anything because your dvd key sector was blank.. I used to hate when people would tell me what I'm about to tell you..but glad I took their advice!
Follow the JF Tutorial It is spot on .. instead of reading then doing / read the tutorial / go to google if you dont understand something and then google it. It's much easier when you understand what you are reading.
We were all noobs at one time. I can flash drives in my sleep but I spent alot of time educating myself on this stuff. Read, Read, Read, Read,.. then go find answers then come back.. Read... read read.. then flash when you understand what you have read for 4 hours.(that's what i did). Look at it like a book you dont know what a word means so you go look up the definition then come back to the book. Then when your done. Read it all over again and it will make more sense to you.

Same here man, not being negative. I put in hours of research and kept throwing more dollars into tools to fix my problem. The time use to not be a big deal to me but ive recently started a new job that im at from 50 to 60 hours a week. I just thought instead of getting frustrated and throwing this thing up against a wall I would ask the pros. I have been modding playstations and wiis for years and testing direct tv and dish even before that - believe me, it pisses me off more than anyone to see a post like "How do I play copies on my X Box????) lol, but I think we can all agree my question was a little more valid than that.

Like everybody said here,always read the tut for jungleflasher.I had just got all my kit yesterday and flashed/updated/flashed for the first time ever.It came up with all 77777777's on mine for the first time.But before that i had used the probe 3 to get my dvd key ,in fact i did it twice to make sure.I made the mistake of erasing and not power cycling the drive and then tried to flash.I ended up with my liteon not been recognised.Ata reset,powered down the drive through cki and it picked it up again.Make sure you have dummy.bin in source with all different numbers not all 7777's of ffffff's etc.Then load your updated firmware to target,then hit SPOOF TO TARGET.The dvd key should match exactly for source and target then hit the write button in the mtk flash32 tab.Most people here have already outlined the majority.
