Hi all,

Its been a while since Ive been on here and I thought I'd come back now Ive been getting into 360 modding.

I recently aquired 7 360s in exchange for some PS3s Ive been repairing, none had drives in, but I also received 10 drives and loads of spare parts. I managed to fix 6 of them so Id say that was a good run :D

Down side, none of the consoles play games. Consoles play DVDs fine and games show as DVD instead.

One Xenon is on 6717 I think (definately 6xxx) and 3 others are too high for JTAG (8xxx - 13xxx). Two of the consoles however were HDMI so are not Xenon boards (falcon I think - can confirm once I double check). I was looking up on the Coolrunner Rev B. If I get ONE and solder it to a HDMI board would it be possible to install something to extract the DVD key from the motherboard? Afterwards would it then be possible to remove/desolder the Coolrunner and revert the system to stock? Then could I use the Coolrunner on the other system to do the same (so only using one Coolrunner)?

I am not wanting to chip/flash or anything else just to get the DVD Key so I can sell the system as fully working instead of only playing DVDs. If I keep a console back I may flash the one I keep but that will come later.

Is there any guides for coolrunner? Ive found soldering instructions but thats all. Ive read up on Jtagging too and I have found a kit I may be able to get to get the code from the Xenon but I am unsure yet. This is the JTAG kit I was thinking of for the Xenon board: http://www.ecrater.co.uk/p/7975932/xbox...-utility-bundle

Also is there any way to get the DVD keys from the Xenons that are 8-13xxx?

Thank you all so much in advance :)
Connah

Edit:
I might get this kit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Xecuter-Coolr...r-/110806641394 and then get a NandX to Coolrunner Cable here http://mrmodchips.co.uk/catalog/product...products_id=842

Would that be everything I need? Or at least for the HDMI models?

Thanks

you have to install xell or xellous to the nand but you definately need 2 matching dumps cause you will have to flash the nand back to stock after which is where the 2 matching dumps are needed. the console needs to be jtagable or you will need to do the reset glitch hack which requires a chip wired in and a programer for the chip to. Also the reset glitch chip only works on hdmi consoles so if your not jtagable and dont have hdmi its a expensive dvd player. the products your looking at will only help with your low dash xenon. google reset glitch hack for more info. there are cheaper ways then the nand flasher your looking at. you can use an old printer port and cool shrimps jtag tool which shows the wiring. I used 12inch solid core doorbell wire to hook the 360 to the old style printer port it just takes longer to dump and write your nand but its almost free and if your only gonna do a jtag once in a while its not really worth the expense of the usb nand flasher. Basicly you have to make a jtag to get the keys then put it back to stock id just jtag and leave it that way.

HI all, have a similar problem with a jasper, CB version 6750 that someone tried to replaced dvd drive (with same model) but didn't retrieve key from dead drive which was binned :(... then passed box onto me...

Now i have a complete error free nand dump from box plus a dvd drive with wrong key..

Question is : can i extract dvd key without jtag or glitch reset hack?

no you have to jtag it and use xell to get the key you need 2 matching nand dumps to be sure theres no corrupted parts of the nand otherwise you could ruin your xbox360
edit: you will need to use the reset glitch hack for that cb version which is more costly. Game stop sells ready to go boxes for 139 so if you cant do the hack yourself its cheaper to go that route unless you want a jtag but as far as I know a jtag cant go on line anymore unless I've missed something since the new dash came out.

I haven't done much with them I bought the matrix with the same brand programer I use mine as a tool to get the key then put my 360's back to stock after but they can be left for a jtag. Im not sure on tutorials as I just downloaded the stuff I needed and looked it over and had good luck setting it all up. I did download a pdf file with wiring info but the pc I used is down till Tuesday or Wednesday when parts arrive. I can post links that I bookmarked to what I used then. There are probably better chips out there but I guess they all work about the same from what Ive read. I just got that one cause my wholesale supplier for reball equipment and supplies carried them.
