i heard that if i burn a backup of fifa 12 it will want to update and if do it it will reflash my 360 back to stock is this true

if you are on pre dash 13599 then yes, if your dash is newer than that then you have nothing to worry about!

You are on the latest dash, if it asks for an update, it's just a game update. It will only ask for that update if you play online.
