Ok.. I was banned last year on live. Never updated my system. Have 74850C lite-on 1.6 ixtreme with 2.0.9199 xbox bios from awhile back. Don't have ability to update firmware. Been changing everything to wave 3. Last game was NBA 2k11.
Can I change this to wave 3 and play? What options do i have?

I don't believe you have any other option, short of flashing your drive to the latest firmware, and updating your 360 to the latest dashboard via usb with $systemupdate 12611. If anyone else can shed some light on this, please do.

One of my systems is banned and I just update as usual, I think I just did the update that came with Bulletstorm and it still works fine. Just make sure your FW is up to date since that AP25 or whatever its called is around.

If it's ap25 kinect a & a will work to update your dash but if you're talking about the workaround to play ap25 games like creed and hot pursuit it's hit n miss whether it'll boot ap25 games, didnt work for me and updated the 360 to LT+. wont do crap to your xbox from doing it, not anything that you'd notice anyway besides the new kinect dash. hitachis and samsungs (cept for a certain sammy or two possibly) will play the ap25 sweet as on old or new firmware, just gotta wave patch if your firmware's mad old like yours :p
if its not ap25, it'll play when you downgrade the wave but it removes the new update so that won't install. but, if it's not ap25 it'll play anyway and sounds like none of your other games are, cause this is the first time youve been fingered by ap.
in short, if its not ap25, patch down the wave like you always do, burn and ride away clean.
just check it through abgx for ap25 and google it to be sure no one's found any ap25 on it, abgx can be slow to update and this game just came out. itll just save u a disc if it turns out to be ap.

Not if you patch down the wave. That's why the AC and Hot Pursuit workaround required USB updating if you had firmware that doesn't boot wave 3 >.

ok, i'm having the same dirty disc error when I copy it directly to the hard drive from the xbox 360 console. It's freezes at 79%. I had this same error with NHL 10. The game plays fine but stalls when trying to copy to hard drive.
Is there a way I can copy the game folders to my hard drive from pc via xport or something? Yes, I can borrow or rent the disc and do that, but I want an alternative solution.

why can't you update? since the firmware you have you can dump your keys with no equipment at all

What tool can I use to update my firmware from 1.6 to the new LT? I sold my CK3 PRO last year.

you would need a ck3 bud so you can power on and connect the drive and i myself do not know of anything else that does that but im sure there is one

you wouldn't need to downgrade if it's wave 6 if im correct lt plays wave 6 lt+ is the wave 7-10 and ap 2.5?
