Flashing the xbox, a really simple guide?

Okay, So I'm a COMPLETE newbie to the flashing of xbox drives however I've read some guides and have seen that you need to know what drive your have (in my case its a hitachi) and to purchase connectivity kits ect.

However I'm not too sure on what EXACTLY I need in order to connect the drive to the pc. Can anyone help me out on this by linking me with a pritty idiot proof guide?

nice one, Yeah I've been reading through this. I'm looking to get a VIA Sata PCI to connect the drive to my pc. But I'm unsure on what connects to what, if you know what I mean?

Is there a diagram to show the setup using a VIA Sata PCI?
